A Discussion We Had Today

Hi all. I just wanted to give everyone a heads up regarding a discussion we had in class today with Trillium's Executive Director, Stephanie Hinkle. As many know, one of our students lost their father over the past weekend. The student chose to share this information with many classmates. This was an absolutely remarkable act of courage and strength on behalf of this student. As you can probably guess, some students had a hard time processing such a difficult subject. So in response, Stephanie chose to come in discuss this issue with our class. I really commend the talk she had with our kids. One of her key points was that if such talk of passing keys any anxiety or fears, that that student should really talk with their parents about it. The kids handled the discussion really well and had a lot of questions and strong input. I wanted to bring this to all of your attention in case any kids were coming home with questions, concerns, or worries.
