I just posted a link to a trailer for an upcoming release that I am really excited about. I wanted to comment on it but couldn't figure out how to after the video. Anyways, I think it really shows the power that our Charter Schools have to to make a difference with kids and within our school system. Bottom line, I would encourage people to look into the work done by Geoffrey Canada who is highlighted in the preview. It is truly amazing.

Looks like that is a great film. I can't wait to see it. Looked up Geoffrey Canada. I realized I'd heard some about the project in Harlem. Really amazing and completely inspiring. Definitely a lesson for anyone who thinks it's not possible to make a difference. I have absolutely no doubt that Joshua's love of school is really a love of Trillium. The experience for him would have been very different in a "traditional" school. We feel incredibly lucky to have so many school options in Portland, and to have had you as his teacher, too:)
